Cat Power, más bien Chan Marshall, después de dejar la preparatoria se fue a NY, y comenzó su carrera siendo telonera de Liz Phair, mas tarde conoció a Steve Shelley (baterista de Sonic Youth) y a Tim Foljahn, quienes aceptaron ser su banda.

Tiene una voz diferente, a mi gusto muy agradable, pero a veces puede ser un poco lenta su música, tiene varios discos:

Grupo británico que podría recordarles a The White Stripes (por ser dos, y solo guitarra y batería), pero no les gusta ser comparados con ellos, y han afirmado que no les gustan los White Stripes.

Ellos comenzaron a tocar juntos cuando sus respectivas bandas se separaron y se les ocurrió juntarse un dia a ensayar. El nombre, es de un musical de Ginger Rogers con Fred Astaire, en la que ella de tanto bailar, sangraron sus pies y mancharon los zapatos de blancos a rojos.

Ellos son Imogen Heap y el productor Guy Sigsworth.
Duraron de 2002 a 2003 (eran proyecto alterno, Imogen tiene su propia carrera de solista.)

La muerte. nos fascina y atemoriza.
En el último libro que leí, "White Noise" de Don DeLillo,
uno de los personajes muestra su teoría de los asesinos,
dice que hay dos tipos de personas: los asesinos y los muertos,
éstos dos tipos de personas tienen miedo a la muerte, mas lo viven de manera diferente. Los muertos viven con el miedo.. y se dejan morir, sin mayor esfuerzo; mientras que los asesinos tienen tanto miedo que creen que si matan a alguien ganan puntos de vida de la persona que mataron, y con eso atrasan su muerte.

El miedo a la muerte se expande por los lugares más recónditos de nuestro cerebro, se apodera de nuestros pensamientos, no nos deja descansar.

(Feliz año y navidad atrasados, no tuve tiempo para escribir.)

Tuve la oportunidad de platicar con una hippie allá en la playa,
(tenía su tendedero ahi lleno de collares y aretes que hacía y vendía)
y el día 31 me dijo que éste año, el 2008, era el año de la rata en el calendario chino, y que de la forma que pasaras éste año, serían los 12 próximos años de tu vida.

También me dijo que el 'Feng Shui' (no estoy segura de la certeza de su información) decía que en los primeros minutos del año nuevo se debía de comer algo de sabor dulce, para que todo el año estuviera lleno de cosas 'dulces' o buenas.

Por puro juego mi hermana y yo compramos lunetas, y a las 12 le dimos una a cada uno de mi familia (incluyéndonos).

Así empezó mi año nuevo.. con cosas dulces, y así ha seguido.

me la hice hoy mientras regresaba a mi casa.
Los ciegos, tienen idea de lo que hay a su alrededor?
pensarán que una silla es como nosotros la vemos?
y la pregunta...
Cómo sueñan?
ideas?
cosas que se imaginan?
pero cómo puede imaginar un ciego de nacimiento, que desde que es traído al mundo,todo es obscuro?
si, distinguen la luz.. pero no las imágenes.

Primera entrada. yay!

explicaré el título del blog.

Viende de una canción de Bright Eyes, yo diría de mis favoritas.

y para mí explica que tenemos que disfrutar la vida, detener los momentos mágicos de cada día y apreciarlos. Y eso es lo que voy a hacer aquí.

Voy a escribir los moméntos que hicieron diferente mi dia de la rutina.
